Become a Marriage Mentor Couple
Are you or do you know a couple who could share their experience of the Sacrament of Marriage? The commitment is just a few days a year. Couples can offer to be part of a parish-based or diocesan-based ministry . . . or both! Marriage Mentor Ministry Couples find this ministry to be a gift not only to the engaged couples they help, but to their own relationship as well. For more information, call Mary Fay at the Office of Evangelization, Catechesis and Family Life at 518-453-6630 or email mary.fay@rcda.org .

Advent Day of Recollection

Saturday, December 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Albany Associates of the Society of the Sacred Heart will be sponsoring a day of recollection directed by Sr. Pat Reid, RSCJ, the creator of the icons of St. John the baptist and St. Ann that are on either side of the altar of our church. Her theme will be "Our Icons as Windows on Advent." Sr. Reid is a noted iconographer and educator, and will make two presentations, one at 11:00 a.m. on St. John the Baptist, and the second at 2:00 p.m. on St. Ann. The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration and coffee in the church foyer, followed by the first presentation, time for prayer and optional discussion.
Lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m. in the Zaccaeus River Room, followed by the second presentation in church, quiet time, and a closing discussion on the day. All who wish are encouraged to attend the regular 4:00 p.m. liturgy. The cost for the day is $25, payable at registration, but no one will be kept away due to lack of funds. However, registrations are required, and are due by November 29. To make a reservation or to obtain further information, please contact Dahlia Herring or Alice Kolb through the Parish Office. There is also a sign-up sheet on the credenza in the church foyer.
